“The paint spills into unforeseen paths, defying its destined place, its natural course, and the very surface meant to contain it.”
Virginia Torrente
Atrapacielos consists of ten cube-like boxes filled with compressed paint that attempts—without success—to escape through their six open sides. These containers are made from small wooden stretchers and serve as a metaphor for Mora’s broader practice: the paint spills into alternative paths, defying its usual place, its natural flow, and the conventional surface meant to hold it.
