Series “Notebook”

This series of nine pieces functions like pages of a diary, exploring methods of translation, transference, and codification in the shift from writing to painting.

The various pictorial elements arranged on metal bars encode and replace the words of short phrases about the life of an artist. With titles such as The Workday, The Fall, The Anonymity, and The Doubt, among others, the series reflects different moments and states in the life of a creator.

Each of the nine works maintains a reference to written language through its sequence, while simultaneously concealing the content of the message through its form.
