Series “Ustedes, vosotros”

In Ustedes, vosotros, a series started in 2024, Guillermo Mora turns painting into an affective space where the didactic and the intimate intertwine. Inspired by past pedagogical experiences and personal connections in his studio, Mora redefines the pictorial gesture not as representation, but as a symbolic condensation of human relationships. Each work in the series works as a collective portrait, though without resorting to figuration: these are faceless portraits, constructed from the color palette associated with specific people, contexts, and moments.
